Orphans from DR CONGO and what they have to do with us.

We have begun the adoption process with MLJ Adoptions, Inc. to adopt a baby from the DR CONGO. This may come as a surprise to many who follow this blog. I would be lying if I said there were not times when we questioned our decision. It is mostly with great excitement that we look forward to this next adventure in our lives. But there is also a bit of; "what the heck are we doing", we have a comfortable life as we are. A family of 3. But that's just it, we do have a comfortable life. Maybe too comfortable. We feel the call on our hearts, from God, to move out of comfortable and into a bit of crazy. Any financial advisor would tell us just that; we are crazy. So with putting our savings on the line and God in the lead we are moving froward with this decision. The Congo is a very unstable country so there are many unforeseen challenges that may cause disruptions to the estimated time frame. The current timeline to bringing a baby, age 6 to 12 months, home is anywhere form 8 to 14 months. If you follow this blog we would ask for your prayers as you watch and wait with us. This will be life changing for all three of us, as bringing home any new baby is!

Why Orphans of the DR CONGO? The Congo is a country that has been ravaged by war leaving millions of Congolese children hopless.

The Congo is not the only country with great need, but it's where we feel led that we can make one small difference for one small soul.
