Mema & Papa

Mema and Papa were in town last week for a visit and they brought Elisabeth with them. Braedyn got to have a lot of fun hanging out with them.

Ventura Beach Day

We had a nice day down at the beach in Ventura. They have a great playground on the beach near the pier. The pier was closed that day due to high surf, You can sort of see it in the first picture where the waves are hitting the bottom of the pier which is at least 20 ft high, the picture shows some smaller waves.

Well it was a nice sunset until my phone took a picture of it. But it was a nice mother-son picture anyhow...

 

Aunt Barbara and Uncle Tim

This is a little late, but I just found it on my phone.... Aunt Barbara and Uncle Tim came by for an overnight visit with us while they were in the states. We had fun showing them around our little town and Braedyn was excited to have someone else to show off to.

 

Low tide beach day

We spent an afternoon at Rincon beach. The tide was really low so the tidepools were great for playing in and the waves were good so surfing was fun as well.

Butterfly Park Hike

The day after Christmas we headed out for a nice hike in a butterfly preserve in Santa Barbara. Unfrtunately we never saw any butterflies, but we still had a wonderful day hiking and exploring.

 
 
 
 

Sunset bike ride on the beach

A couple nights before Christmas we went for a evening ride along the beach to watch the sunset.

 

Hiking

This hike included a beautiful view of a waterfall pouring onto the beach.

Weekend Getaway

Over Thanksgiving weekend we drove up to Monterrey, CA to do some sight seeing. We took scenic Hwy 1 the whole way up which goes along the jagged Big Sur coast. It was a beautiful drive along the ocean. We stopped for lunch and also made a stop off at SandDollar Beach for a quick hike down to burn off some energy.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving day close to home this year. The weather was so perfect that we headed to the beach to catch soak up some sunshine and enjoy the day. Later on we headed over to our friends house for a feast.

The rocket shooter is still a favorite toy around here. We took it to the beach today and built a rocket launch pad for it.

Babysitter

Braedyn loves it when Isa comes to babysit! She makes the best mac and cheese and takes him to the beach. And it turns out she's a pretty good photographer as well!

Ventura Beach

The boardwalk along Ventura harbor is a great place to ride bikes. There is also a really fun, new playground out on the sane near the pier that we spent some time at on our trip down there. On our ride back to catch the train we stopped off to watch some people playing drums and Braedyn got invited in to play with them for awhile.

More Grandpa

Another day at the tidepools with Grandpa before he had to head back over to the Philippines.

Lunch

We headed down to city beach for a quick Subway lunch and some playtime. Braedyn has been fascinated with the outside showers at the beach and is just barely able to get them to spray out water....
