Opening Day of Trestle Bike Park in Winter Park, CO

And the CO adventure begins...

Braedyn loved to help pack, but sometimes he would get a little distracted. I'm sure he was learning something here.

Who says a prius can't hold a lot of stuff?

Vegas wasn't all bad. We did enjoy a fabulous water park at our hotel and good food.

Watching the fountains out our hotel window in Vegas.

Bike Bike Bike that's the boys plan for this summer.

It's not all play. Mike's temporary office in WP.

Moving away party for Braedyn.

The local bmx gang at Elings park wanted to throw a going away party for Braedyn. They had a BBQ, endless candy, and going away gifts for him. He was stoked! Braedyn got his first love for biking with this crew and they will not be forgotten.

His best buddies on and off the track. The Cox boys could make him CRAZY, but he always had the best of times with them.

We had to donate Braedyn's wooden launch ramps to the track because they did not fit in the uhaul. Notice I did not say 'pod'. THAT was long overstuffed the day before. But it turned out to be a good thing because Braedyn got to ramp his heart out w all his bmx pals on his final day of bmx at Elings Park in Santa Barbara, CA

He was given a T shirt signed by most of his bmx pals, a huge trophy, and a good bye card signed by his bmx teammates.

Braedyn's favorite bmx girls. They liked him as much as he liked them.

First day of pod packing

This would be the optimistic day! The day my husband thought we would get all of our junk into the pod. 3 days later, after giving a lot of stuff away, there was a uhaul in our drive way and we moved on to plan B. Braedyn and I's one way plane tickets were nixed. And so the cross country journey began. I have to say I had more fun driving it with the family anyway, even if my only companion for the long drive was the dog. Braedyn only wanted to ride in the uhaul and I was not driving that thing. I think it had something to do w being able to sit in the front seat.

Lou Grant campout 2011

The blue group kids got to spend the night at school. They could sleep anywhere they wanted. It was very exciting! They had dinner, took a hike to the beach, had a scavenger hunt, roasted marsh mellows for smores, and had a bedtime story with a candle. Braedyn was the last sleepy camper to awaken the next morning. (I have more pictures of this on my camera that is lost in the pod)

Braedyn choose to sleep under the stars above the bucket slide.
Mike stayed the night with him.

Saying good bye to the beach

We had some great times at this beach. No longer do we live two blocks from Jelly Bowl and I'm sure there will be days when we will miss that, among so many other things.
