Whistler

Being as it was our 10th anniversary we splurged a bit and stayed at the Four Seasons hotel in Whistler's Upper Village. This was quite the nice place and we certainly enjoyed our time there.

Anniversary Trip

It's our 10th anniversary this year (August 8th)! We celebrated a little early as Grandma was in town, so we left Braedyn with her for a few days and headed up to the great white north of Canada and spent a nice relaxing time in Whistler, British Columbia. This was our first time to Whistler and it was a beautiful and fun place to visit. They're frantically getting ready for the 2010 Winter Olympics so there was lots happening around the town and resort and everyone is already selling 2010 Olympics everything. We got to just hang out and relax a lot and eat some leisurly meals without worrying about a toddler. We also got out for a bit of hiking and shopping, and got to see a couple of bears wandering around.

Playgrounds

Playgrounds have always been a favorite place for Braedyn, but he's been getting a lot more brave lately. No longer is it enough to just slide down a slide or climb up some stairs. He's now taken to climbing the hardest line up to the top of any play structure and taking the most daring ride down it as well. Just the other day he figured out how to slide down a pole, sort of by accident at first, but he quickly discovered how much fun it could be!

Parks and Friends

With Grandma in town we headed to Lincoln park again and met some other friends there for some playing and a picnic lunch. Eva and June have become good friends of Braedyn's while we've been living here and came to the park with their mom. Eva is Braedyn's favorite, she is much older which means more fun for Braedyn. He talks about Eva all the time when she's not around and when she is he just loves to follow her and imitate her every move.

Grandma

Grandma Davis is here on a visit during her summer break. She was at home in Colorado for the summer and is on her way back the the Philipines for the upcoming school year but has stopped by for a couple weeks to visit. We spent some time showing her some of our favorite parks around the area. Here we headed back to Lincoln park for the day. The last picture is of a local neighborhood park.

Microsoft Company Picnic

Well another year, another picnic! We spent Saturday up in North Bend, WA at the Microsoft Company picnic. There were a million things for a little kid to enjoy. Braedyn got a tattoo on his leg, ate some ice cream and had a baloon dog made.

Grasslawn Park

Grasslawn park in Redmond, minutes from the Microsoft main campus, was a favorite haunt of ours last year, but we haven't been there a whole lot this year. As we've been driving by lately we noticed that they were finishing up construction on a new play area that looked pretty cool. It has some climbing walls, a fountain area, and a really neat merry-go-round. So this past week when we had some extra time on our hands we decided to make a stop off there to check it out. The water fountains were especially nice on this hot day. Daddo rode his bike over from work to meet Braedyn and Mommy there on his way home.

The days are just packed....

It sounds like every day of this trip to Iowa was crammed full of fun things to do and people to see. I'm sure Braedyn can't wait for his next trip back.

There wasn't much time to sleep so the little guy just needed to catch some z's whenever he could...

Blog Roll

We've begun to amass quite a list of our firends and family who have blogs over on the side of this blog. We do this mainly so that we have an easy place to go to link off to all of them if we want to browse through them. So many people seem to take up blogging and then drop it not too much later or just post about twice a year so we were considering removing some of them, but didn't want to offend anyone... So we're trying out a new Blogger feature that sorts our list by how recently the blog has been posted to. This can be found further down on the sidebar, and will be moved up at some point if we decide we like it.

Connor

Braedyn got to hang out with his buddy Connor while in Iowa a little bit too.
