Hucking Rocks

Heading home after a long afternoon at the park...

That's Braedyn standing up all on his own in the grass. He isn't real sure about the feel of grass yet so he would rather stand than let the stuff poke his little legs and hands. The dog in this picture was apparently attention deprived because it just meandered up to us and then layed down and rolled over for a tummy scratch. His rolling over just about took Braedyn out, but Braedyn thought it was funny anyhow.

Mor park pictures. Here Braedyn and Dori were hanging out in a nice field above the lake just soaking in the sun. We actually had to put sunblock on the kid today!

Park Hopping

It was such a nice day today in Seattle that we decided to continue our quest to visit all of the parks in the greater Seattle area. Today we packed a picnic lunch and headed to Warren G Magnuson park in the shore of Lake Washington in Seattle proper. We had lunch on the lawn near the playground (apparently the largest in Seattle) and then Braedyn got to spend some time playing on all the contraptions. After that Dori got to have her fun at the off leash dog park, they actually have a separate area for "small and shy" dogs. She didn't like it very much, all the dogs surrounded her and tried to sniff her butt, just a little too much action there for her.

A few pictures from our Colorado trip last weekend. This is Braedyn hanging out in the hotel lobby waiting for some friends to show up for dinner.

Colorado Trip

We just got back from a quick trip to Colorado where we got all of our household belongings packed up and loaded onto a truck heading for Washington. We also got to spend some time with friends. On Staurday Talisha took off with a friend while Michael and Braedyn headed to Eldorado Canyon for a short little hike where we watched the rock climbers, looked at the river, sat on rocks and threw rocks into the river (Braedyn's new favorite past time). It was lots of fun and completely tuckerd Braedyn out forcing him to fall asleep in the car on the way back to the hotel.

Braedyn is on the mend

The little guy has been feeling a lot better today and seems to be past this episode of the flu.

emergency room visit

Braedyn has come down with a case of what the doctor's think is the flu. He's been throwing up and having diarreah since yesterday. We started getting a little concerned about him when he was starting to get lethargic this afternoon so we called the Dr. and they told us to go to the ER. Of course about the time we got him out of bed to make a mad dash to the ER Braedyn popped out of his lethargic state and got all excited and started smiling, laughing, playing and pointing at everything (you can judge how well he is doing by how much his little pointer is working, he was even pointing at the vomit as it came out yesterday).

By the time we got to the ER at Childrens Hospital in Seattle he was seeming fine. Mom had given him some more drinks on the way and that seemed to help. The Dr at Children's wanted to have him hang out and drink lots of fluids for a while, an that helped a lot more. But for the most part we made the drive just so the kid could open all of the cupboards and drawers in the ER and check out all the really cool, pint sized, medical equipment sitting around and get this fancy new outfit that you see him modelling below. All is well now, mom and dad have directions to keep him plump full of fluids and let him have plenty of rest. At least at Children's they were a little more helpful than our regular Ped. .

Easter Picnic

Easter Sunday brought another beautiful, warm, sunny Seattle day, so we decided to check out nearby Juanita Bay park in Kirkland. It is on the east side of Lake Washington and has some very neat trails and nice scenery. We got to see some turtles and lots of pretty birds, and had a nice afternoon, family walk and a little picnic and one of the picnic tables. Braedyn ate about a whole carton of strawberries, hence the red, dripping face.

Happy Easter

Alexandra and Isabella invited Braedyn down for his first ever Easter Egg hunt at the park near their house. There were a lot of people there, but Braeydn managed to find himself two eggs (with a little help from mommy).

He wasn't really sure what those little plastic things were, but they sure looked a lot like a ball he had back at home, so he just threw the eggs.

Once mommy got the candy out of the egg for him, it went right into his mouth. With those bright colors it must be tastey.

What would an easter egg hunt be without a giant pink easter bunny?
