Microsoft Company Picnic

We headed out to the MS company picnic on Saturday. There were tons of games and toys for kids. Braedyn seemed to have a lot of fun and promptly fell asleep in the car once we left.

Popcorn

Braedyn loves this fresh kettle corn

Dori & Braedyn Video

Dori has always loved to play with her food. We always said she must be half cat. She chases after pieces and pounces on them as if they needed to be killed before eating. She especially loves it when we throw her food for her to chase, I guess it is like the thrill of the chase or something. Well, since Braedyn's been around, Dori hasn't gotten a lot of food throwing or other playing, so it was to her extreme delight to find out that this new addition to the family (Braedyn) was capable of playing with her.

Concert in the park

The city of Redmond has a series of concerts and "Art in the park" during the summer. We went to the first one of this year today. We're pretty excited as these are about a block from our new apartment! Braedyn had a lot of fun dancing to the music, playing with other kids, searching for rocks, and begging for food from other people even though he had been stuffing himself with kettle corn the whole evening.

We went for a hike today on the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie river trail. It was an absolutely perfect day out and it was a beautiful trail along the river. Braedyn had a lot of fun throwing rocks in the river as usual and got to do a lot of walking himself this time.

Here's a scenery picture.

Dancing

Braedyn has taken to dancing to lots of different music, especially some of his favorite cd's. All we have to do is take the cd out of the case and he will start in to the bee-bop routine. There are even certain words that we say that are words in some of his favorite songs, that cause him to break into dance.

Videos

Here are a couple of videos of Braedyn. First Braedyn playing with his new Playdough set.

And Braedyn playing with a new ball we got him.

Braedyn got a new soccer ball the other day. He's learned how to kick it, but still prefers the excitement of picking it up and tossing it down the hall.

Pictures

It seems that all of Braedyn's friends his age love to pose for the camera lately. Braedyn on the other hand just doesn't have time for the camera. If he isn't making some face, looking off at something more interesting, or trying to get away from mommy's hold, then chances are that the camera is not out and ready to go at the moment.... Oh well.
