Buggy

The buggy is a hit with all little kids. Braedyn's friend Ely came over with his dad for dinner one evening and the boys had fun cruising the buggy around the back yard.

Braedyn's new room

Well we have a new camera finally, the one I ordered awhile back was backordered forever.... Mostly just testing it out here, but these are some shots of Braedyn's room with all of his space stickers and new paint job.

Moving

Well the blogging has been a little sparse lately as we've been in the process of moving all the way to the other side of town (2 miles away). We're finally getting settled in, unpacked, and everything put away and hung up. We're a lot closer in to town now which makes the walkability factor a little nicer. It's 2 blocks to the beach, 2 blocks to the grocery store, 3 blocks to the farmers market, 3 blocks to Braedyn's new school, 3 blocks to church, 100 yds to Michael's office, and 200 yds to starbucks. The neighborhood is really nice also, lots of kids around and really friendly people so we're pretty excited about things and looking forward to living here.

Braedyn loves a good book about the beach so much that he memorizes them. Amazing that he can pull this off when I can't seem to remeber the next line without looking. Their little three year old minds can really store a lot of info! We hope this love for reading continues into his school years.

Cousin Jaron

Braedyn really likes Jaron. She always spends lots of time with him and plays with him lots, at least when she isn't sick!

Countdown rings

When we have something big coming up like a trip or someone coming to visit we make a paper chain so that we can count down to the event. This particular chain was made extra big as there were only 3 days until Stevii, Davis, Jaron, Aunt Michelle and Uncle Baldy come to visit us! Braedyn can't wait.

Secret Fort

On the property we live on there is a large field with lots of tall grass and trees. Braedyn has discovered a few little secret forts in the grass that he can go back into and play in.

Tricycle

Braedyn is quite proficient at pedaling his tricycle these days and has been making his official request for a real bike with training wheels.

imagination

Braedyn has been really using his imagination a lot lately. Since he really likes to take pictures he decided to use the ladder to climb up and take pictures of things from a higher vantage point, all with his imagenary camera. Daddy would sit in the hammock and Braedyn would climb the ladder, setup the camera, turn on the timer, climb down the ladder and run to daddy on the hammock and then we would both say CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE for the camera. It's just too bad we couldn't post those pictures because I'm sure there were some good ones in the 100's that we took that day...

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone. We had a nice Easter weekend here with not a lot going on. Sunday morning, Braedyn got a little Easter basket and a new outfit (pictured here) and then we headed off to the Easter service at Reality which was held outdoors at the local high school. They had lots of fun bouncy castles and good food afterwards so it was a hit with Braedyn. We were able to snap this family picture before everyone got dirty!

Nicole's Visit

Talisha's friend, Nicole, came for a visit with her twins. The weather wasn't on its best behavior, yes, we do occasionally have less than perfect weather, so we made the best of our inside time. We did get out a little in between the rain and wind. They were only in town for one full day and two nights, but they were very busy ones; keeping up with one very energetic little boy and two very active, curious, almost 18 month olds. Whew... it was a whilwind weekend, but so great to see my old friend. Little ones always sleep at some point so we got to have some good long chats on our downtime!

Backyard Campfire

With the evenings staying a little warmer we've been hanging out in the backyard more often. The other night we started up a little fire in the firepit and warmed our toes up a bit and had some fun watching the flames!

Brownies

Braedyn helped out with making Brownies the other night. He mostly likes to sample each step of the process. This time he finally got up the nerve to lick the beaters, I think he always thought they would beat his tounge, but now he knows that there is nothing but goodness on those things!

Where did all the chocolate go?

Marbles

Braedyn got a new train table for his Thomas train set as an early birthday present this year. The table has little holes the whole way around to stick little poles or track risers in, but Braedyn decided to use those holes to stick all of his marbles around the perimiter of the table.

Bike Riding

For Christmas, Braedyn got a new Scoot Bike. This is a bike without pedals that is supposed to help kids learn balance on a bike before having to worry about pedalling as well. He's been having a lot of fun riding it around the loop by our house and is starting to get hte hang of it a little bit. He does like it the most when daddy pushes him so he can go "really fast"!

Christmas

I told you I was a little behind on posting....

We opened Christmas gifts on the morning of Christmas eve as we were flying out early Christmas morning. Braedyn got some painting supplies as well as some musical instruments and a little scoot bike. He's really been enjoying his instruments and is happy to refer to himself as "the band" these days.
