Tiny Treks Week 3

Today was week 3 of Tiny Treks and the first thing Braedyn said when he woke up was, "Go Hiking!". Today we headed to the Mercer Slough in Bellevue. This was a great little nature park in the heart of the city. It has trails all over, many of them being boardwalks over wetlands. There is even a blueberry farm in the middle of the park where you can go pick when berries are in season or just buy them at the little year round fruit stand at the entrance to the park. We had a lot of fun here as there was a lot of fun things to see. We saw lots of birds and Braedyn was walking around shouting "tweet, tweet, tweet!" for most of the morning. He also kept finding slugs on the ground and was really intrigued by them, although he wasn't quite ready to pick one up yet....
