Science Center

MeMa and PaPa were in town this weekend for the big birthday party so we spent the morning at the Pacific Science Center again on Friday. As usual it was a big hit.

Running

Braedyn seems to have two modes: full speed and sleeping. His full speed mode has begun to kick into high gear lately as he has discovered how to run and jump. He especially loves it when there is a nice downhill ramp that puts gravity on his side in the quest for speed.

Another beautiful weekend day found us off to another nearby parks, this time in Kirkland on the East side of Lake Washington. We took quite a few pictures so here is a short slideshow. Click here to see the large format slideshow. Click here to browse the pictures on your own.

Park Videos

A couple of videos from our weekend park visit.

Chocolate

Hanging out at Theo chocolate in Seattle. Braedyn really loved all the free samples they had even though 10 minutes earlier he was too full to eat lunch....

More Weekend hanging out

The weather was really nice this weekend in Seattle. After some time at the park we headed over to check out Seattle's surf shop, Urban Surf, and then we had lunch at another park then headed for some samples at Theo Chocolate.

More Gasworks

Some more pictures from Gas Works Park

At Gas works park there was lots of fun stuff for a two year old to do: Rock throwing in Lake Union; Float planes taking off nearby; all sorts of boats; and tons of space to run!

Gas Works Park

The weather is getting nice enough again to begin our park hopping. Today we went into Seattle to check out Gas Works park.

Books

We used to think that Braedyn liked books, but it was nothing compared to his love for them now. It doesn't matter if he's playing in the living room and we come in, it's "One Book!", or if he's in the bath tub with his tub books, "read this book...", or in bed with the lights out, and as a tactic to get us to stay just a nother minute, "One More Book", or the times when we just come across him somewhere randomly in the house, seated up on a chair with a book in his lap....

Looking out at a rainy day

A Whole Year

This week marked the one year anniversary for Michael working at Microsoft. It's been a pretty interesting year, lots of fun things going on and definitly keeping very busy. My past jobs saw me starting to feel a little boredom after a year, but here I'm just feeling like I'm starting to understand what is going on after a year!

Everyone always asks what I'm working on, the easiest way to explain it is to point you to some of the recent press articles about our product.

Earlier this week we woke up to a few inches of lovely snow. It was not too cold for a walk and the snow seemed to keep most other people inside. The traffic getting to work was terrible, crashes everywhere, busses blocking the freeway, etc. Luckily daddy has taken to full time bike commutting and zipped right past everyone...

talking

Braedyn has been talking A LOT lately. He's been getting better at chaining words together, mostly 2 or 3 at a time. The other day he just threw a bunch together to make his first pseudo sentance!

Alphabet

Braedyn has been working on his alphabet a lot lately. He's been getting pretty good at recognizing the letters and can get pretty much all of them when he wants to...

Summer???

Although this was one of Braedyn's favorite beach parks it was a little cold yet for spashing around in the water, so he had to make do with throwing some rocks.
