September

Our first excursion north of the border came in September of this year. Dori even got to make her first international trip with us. It was mostly just rainy on Vancouver island, but the city of Vancouver was really pretty and the ferry rides were a lot of fun too! There were plenty of nice hiking days and a trip to the San Juan islands when MiMa and Papa came to visit.

August

August was full of hiking and park visits including a couple outings to the zoo. There were lots of fun hairdos, festivals in the park and bike rides with the family.

July

Grandma and Grandpa came back by in July on their way home. We had more beautiful weather to hike and explore parks in. We even made a brief appearance at the Microsoft company picnic!

June

I guess the whole summer was busy. In June just as Grandma and Grandpa were leaving, Aunt Michelle and her whole family stopped in for a visit on their trip home from abroad. We got to do lots of fun things with them. Soon after they left, Connor drug his parents out to see Braedyn for a long weekend. There were plenty of other outings with friends, including the twins as well as many days spent throwing rocks into the river or digging holes in the sand at the beach.

May

May was a busy month. The weather started getting nice so, in addition to starting swimming lessons at the Pro Club, we got out on the bikes a lot and had lots of fun at the river throwing in rocks. Mommy and Braedyn headed back to Iowa for a short trip to see MiMa and Papa. And then Grandma and Grandpa stopped in to visit on their way from the Phillipines! In between all of that we managed a trip to the mountains with Rob and Kellie and the twins. Oh My!

April

In April we spent time closer to home, exploring the local zoo and many of the parks nearby.

March

March was a month for exploring. We took a trip out to the Washington coast and went on a number of hiking trips.

Jan-Feb 2008

January saw the Davis family packing up the house in Colorado and heading out to sunny Seattle for a new job for Michael at Microsoft. Braedyn helped a lot in the packing back in Colorado.

We made it to Seattle and had some time to do a little exploring.

February saw Braedyn's first haircut, it's been growing like a weed ever since then.

We got to enjoy some of the nice winter weather for some hiking around the Puget Sound area.

Feb. was also Braedyn's first birthday. We celebrated in style in our corporate housing with some friends.

More sledding on new year's eve. The sledding hill was much busier this time up and I think it scared Braedyn a bit and he didn't really want to go down the big hill so we went and played in the trees and then met friends Ken and Linda with their daughter Marilyn (sp?). There was a smaller sledding hill off to the side that Braedyn thought looked like more fun and so we rode that one a few times before heading home.

Lunch break...

New Year's eve sledding trip. This time we had even more perfect weather!

Counting

Braedyn has started getting his numbers down a little bit. He's counting up to 7 or 8 lately, the thing is, he's doing it in Spanish. He isn't quite as far along on the English counting... If you listen close to the video you'll here him go to 6 in Spanish.
