For our trip to Hawaii, we rented a little beach cottage on the North Shore of Oahu. We found it on vrbo.com. We got a great deal on the place too. Well, the other day we got home to find that most of the power in the house was out, I went to check the electrical box to see if any of the breakers had been tripped since we had been running the air conditioners some. The box smelt as though there was some sort of electrical fire or something burning in it. So we called the owner of the place. He promptly came over to check things out.
The bad thing was this all happened on the night of the Lost season premier, which Talisha had been looking forward to all summer long with great anticipation. Well, all the power came back on, but it was obvious it wasn't working quite right, the stove did not work, the tv was messed up and the air conditioners kept turning on and off. The owner said he would have an electrician over first thing in the morning. We were able to watch Lost with a tv that sort of worked, but the power went out again with 10 minutes left.
The next morning the electrician was there first thing and got everything fixed up. One of the breakers had shorted out or something and had pretty much completely melted down. He replaced that and a few other things and everything seems to be in good shape. So it looks like we should be able to see the next couple weeks of Lost fine. In order to find out what happened in the last 10 minutes, Michael had to ask the character who plays John Locke on Lost while they were waiting in line at the Foodmart together the next morning.
