Commuting

It's been a couple months now since Michael has been full time bicycle commuting to work. The weather is getting a little nicer so it's a little easier to get motivated to get on the bike than when it is dark and raining. The decision to not replace the Subaru immediately (since it's most recent breakdown) was pretty easy, and makes the motivation not be a factor as much and should get me in better shape. The trek into work is 5.5 miles each way with about 2 blocks of it being on roads, the rest is on the Sammamish River trail and an offshoot trail going right to my building at Microsoft main campus. When the sky is clear you get these awesome views of Mt Rainier the whole way in.

On the way home Braedyn and Talisha usually walk down to the trail to meet daddy and walk back with him. Braedyn usually likes to ride on the back of "Dado's bike" sitting on the panniers. At least until he spots a nice rock that needs to be picked up.
