Dori was given the unusual opportunity to get close enough to Braedyn to get a good sniff.
  

We wanted to do a comparison of the weight of Dori vs. Braedyn. So we threw Dori in a bowl on our little kitchen scale and she topped out at her heaviest ever 5 lbs, 1 oz. Then we put Braedyn in the bowl to see how he compared, but he went over the max weight of the scale. We think he is about 6 lbs 3 oz.

A few people have asked about Braedyn when he was first born. He had a rough start of it as mom was pretty sick and had to have a c-section a couple weeks early. Braedyn was put in an oxygen tent for a couple of days due to some fluid in his lungs. He also had an IV in his head for a while so that he could be given antibiotics to combat the virus that mom had.

The long and short of it all....

For about 2 years Braedyn's Dad (Michael/Mike) had been growing his hair out and looked quite hippie-esque. Long curls that could cover his entire face graced his head. But the week that Braedyn was born had long been decided as the date of demise for the curly locks. Now Braedyn actually has longer har than dad. Maybe the two of them will grow their hair back out together. :-)

Dori Likes Poop!



For a little while there Dori had some infatuation with eating her own poop. We think it was because it was cold outside and her poop had a nice steam to it. Or maybe it was that we fed her a piece of ham and her poop still smelled like the ham. Anyhow, now she's moving onto other poops. She still hasn't figured out what that crying thing is, but it sure smells like it might have some tasty tidbits coming out of the back side....
