Happy Birthday

This past Saturday was Braedyn's big number 1. Even though grandma and grandpa couldn't make it because of a snowstorm in the midwest, Braedyn had plenty of friends over to celebrate with. Rob and Kellie came over with their twin girls Isabella and Alexandra. And a co-worker of Michael's, Lonnie came over with his wife Sarah and their daughter Maya (spelling?). So Braedyn had a handful of girls hanging out with him on his big day.

Breadyn has taken to being very self sufficient with his eating (read he wants to do it himself...). Although a majority of the food seems to end up in his eyes, ears, nose, hair and all over the rest of his body, he does manage to get a bit in his mouth and ends up filling his little tummy somehow. Maybe he soaks it in through his skin?!?!

Ferries and Mountains

It was a gorgeous day here in the Pacific NW. The sun was shining, it was relatively warm and you could see for miles. We took a ferry ride across the Sound from Seattle to Bainbridge Island and there were fabulous views of all of the mountain ranges that are around Seattle.

Braedyn gets his first haircut. He didn't even realize he was getting it cut or that anything was going on, all he cared about was that there were new toys for him to stick in his mouth. But overall he seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself.

Our Temporary Apartment

Our apartment in Kirkland will never quite feel like home, but we are working hard to make it feel as close to home as possible. We've been hanging pictures and doing as much as possible to put up some of those reminders of our family.
