We spent Saturday morning at the Seattle Children's Museum at the Seattle Center. It was a pretty cool place with lots of different things to do and see and LOTS of people. There was still some holiday stuff going on at the Seattle Center too so after lunch we checked some of it out including a model train set.

sunglasses
We had bought a pair of sunglasses for Braedyn awhile ago, they were pretty styly, but they were kids glasses and just didn't hold up to a 2 year old boy and eventually broke in quite a few pieces. Now whenever we're driving and the sun is in his eyes he tursn his head, holds out his hand and yells, "glasses, glasses, glasses...". Today we gave in and gave him the closest pair we could find...

Aquarium
The day after Christmas we decided to go check out the newly remodeled Seattle Aquarium since it was a cold, wet day outside. We caught the seals getting fed and we got to be really close, that caught Braedyn's attention for a long time. He was just watching them and then would burst out laughing when one of the seals would catch a fish. The new big attraction at the Aquarium is the giant aquarium wall near the new entrance. There was a little show going on there with a scuba diver inside. Braedyn wasn't too sure about this guy and wanted to stay pretty close to daddy.
Stairs
Braedyn has been getting a lot of practice on the stairs lately. He hikes his way up to the top, let's a toy roll to the bottom and then slides down on his belly to retrieve it.

Christmas Dinner
Christmas Walk
Christmas morning was pretty nice here so after we ate some breakfast, opened presents and cleaned up a bit we headed out for a little walk down to the river. This is pretty much an every day event for Braedyn lately (except when the weather is really nasty). We threw in a few rocks and then walked back through the woods below our house, Braedyn really enjoys going this way since there are lots of sticks and lots of mud and other fun things for little boys to find and throw...

Merry Christmas
Well, since we're about the only family in the world who doesn't send out a Christmas card or picture with a lengthy recount of the past year, you'll just have to make due with our blog (save a tree is our motto). Even better, since we kept up our blog over the entire year, instead of re-hashing all of the excitement of our lives via a newsletter, simply browse through the 400 or so posts that we added to this blog this year!

Christmas Sledding
More sledding
Having fun with Mommy!
Mommy got a little tired after a couple walks back up the hill so Braedyn had to chip in for awhile...
Sharing a sled with Isabella (I'm guessing, I have not idea if it is Alexendra or Isabella).
After the fun day of sledding, we got changed in the back of the Pruis, the worst snow car ever.

Sledding
We took Braedyn for his first sledding experience on Christmas eve morning. Although it cost a small fortune to get all the warm clothes needed, parks passes, sleds, etc. it was well worth it. Braedyn really liked the snow, but wasn't too sure about all of the people at the top of this huge looking hill. But the smiles began half way through the first bomb down the hill. Once the sled came to a stop on the first run (and all others for that matter), Braedyn immediately began yelling "AGAIN,... AGAIN,...AGAIN,..." After the long slog back up the hill with the little guy in tow we would do it all over again. Luckily he's still pretty light and easy to pull up the hill. Alexandra and Isabella met us up there for some fun too!
We headed up to the mountains on this Christmas eve morning for a little fun in the snow. It turned out to be a sunny day which was quite unexpected. The weather people around here tend to always say it will be rainy and cloudy, so when you do get a beautiful day like today in Seattle, it is usually pleasantly unexpected!
