Braedyn may have been a little scared of the water, but he absolutely loved the sand. He was trying his hardest to get out of mommy's restrictive grasp so he could get bigger handfuls of sand to throw around and dump on himself. Besides a little bit of sand in his mouth, he really had fun. We may have to get this kid a sand shovel.

We spent the afternoon at Turtle Bay Resort on the north shore. Braedyn got to dip his toes into the water finally since it is a little calmer water at this bay than at Sunset Beach. The water was a little bit too cold for Braedyn and the waves coming in scared him a little bit. We'll work on him though, he'll be surfing before we go home........

It seems like everyone on the north shore that has kids has them in a little front bike seat like this one. We thought it looked like such a good idea that we went out and bought one. We still need to get it mounted on the bike we have here, but hopefully we'll have some pics of Braedyn cruising down the bike path in his new seat.

Big Eyes...

Along about a 5-6 mile stretch of the North Shore of Oahu, from Sunset Point down to just past Pipeline there is a really nice bike path that is between the houses and the road. The house we are staying at is right on this bike path, so we have taken to going for long walks up to Sunset Point or down to the shrimp shack in front of pipeline. It is really pretty, really overgrown with luch trees and shrubs. Braedyn is all eyes whenever we're walking there.

The humidity here makes Daddy and Braedyn's hair more curly. This is Braedyn hanging out on the deck with the backyard of our place behind him.

With the time change and all the excitement we were up at pretty early our first morning here, so we went for a walk on the beach and saw the sunrise. This is Sunset Beach on the North Shore of Oahu. Dori was a little scared of the waves, but was more concerned about staying close to us. Braedyn was just all eyes checking everything out.

Here's Dori after we rescued her from the Hawaii Animal Quarantine department at the Honolulu airport. We gave her a formal leigh welcome (which she did not like at all). She was just glad to get outside and let go of the monster poop that she had been brewing up all day on the plane!

Braedyn made it to Hawaii and did exceptionally well on the 6 hour flight. He slept a fair amount and made everyone around us smile a lot because he was all smiles and giggles. There were a few cries while he was trying to get to sleep, but nothing major. All in all it was a pretty uneventful flight. It really helped that we were able to get an extra seat between the two of us for his car seat, that really made things a lot nicer.

Dori was getting pretty nervous with all of the packing going on and wanted to make sure that she didn't get left behind.

It's been getting cold in Colorado so we decided it was time for Braedyn to get some winter clothes. Here he is in his new fleece sasquach suit.

Well the countdown is down to only 2 days until our trip to Hawaii. Even Dori is getting excited. She has been hanging out in her crate making sure everything is ok in it for her long journey. She wanted to have her name on her crate so that the airline people didn't just call her "dog" or "hey you".

On a cool September afternoon we took Braedyn to his favorite park for a walk.
