Boat Tour of Seattle

We took a Seattle harbor boat tour on Monday. It was a little cold and sort of overcast. Other than that day it has been beautiful and sunny here for our first week!

Saying Goodbye

Well we didn't make it to all of our good by rounds because of Talisha's tonsillectomy, but we did get over to Braedyn's buddy, Adam, the night before we headed for Seattle. Talisha well really miss her good friend Tonya!

Helping Pack

Although he's not quite sure why his toys are getting put in boxes, Braedyn still thinks the boxes are a lot of fun and is just happy to be helping out.

New Outfit

Mom wanted to show off Braedyn's new outfit. At least he doesn't walk out of his overalls!!

Box of Toys

Braedyn's new favorite place is near his toybox that grandpa snort made him. He recently discovered that is where all the toys are!

Surgery for Talisha

For those of you who didn't know, Talisha had minor surgery on Tuesday to get her tonsils removed. It was something that had been bothering her for 4 months. She had been planning to wait until after we moved so that things could be a little less hectic and also since Microsoft's insurance is a lot better than Sun's. But last week her throat hurt so bad that something needed to be done. So we flew in from our weekend trip to Seattle late Monday night, met Talisha's mom (Jane) at the airport (she was nice enough to come in to help Talisha recover), and then went to the hospital the next morning. Talisha is doing better now, but is still in a lot of pain. We hope that this solved some of the problems she was experiencing with her throat in the past. My boss at Sun was nice enough to let me push my end date back a few days so that insurance would cover our follow up appointments and the prescriptions that she needs, so we were very thankful for that.

on the upward path

Braedyn has discovered that he can now climb those pesky stairs that mom and dad were using to store some very appealing items on just out of the reach of little hands.

I'm so hungry I could eat a horse

Crawling

Braedyn has been doing sort of an army style crawl where he pulls himself along with his arms and just pushes with his feet a little bit and with his tummy still on the ground. Well we went to visit Great Grandma Schoff this weekend and when we got to her house he just got on his hands and knees and started crawling.....

standing up

Braedyn recently discovered that he was able to pull himself up on pretty much whatever he likes and that opened up a whole new dimension to the reach of his little hands.

Moving to Seattle

Well I think that most of our friends and family know already, but just in case we missed anyone, we are moving to the Seattle area. Michael took a job with Microsoft and has resigned his position at Sun Microsystems. His last day at Sun will be Jan 19th. We will be moving sometime around Jan 26th, and Michael will start his new job at Microsoft on Feb 5th. We will send out change of address notification once we know where we will be living. Our cell phone numbers and email addresses will continue to work, and we have already added an additional phone number with a Seattle area code, it is (425)-818-5186.
